“Fernando joined HP as a graduate from Ericsson, and it was clear during his interview that Fernando was different from the usual candidates we saw at HP. His ability to grasp complex concepts, internalise and present in an easily understandable way made him stand out from the crowd. During his first year with HP, Fernando demonstrated a level of technical ability which was far above his level in the organisation, and he was quickly recognised as a trusted technical advisor for some of the largest and most important projects at HP Software. Architects with decades of experience would consult Fernando on the way that HP Software tools should be deployed, and even the developers of the tools were seeking an audience with him to define the new integrations. As a direct result of his ability to shine and lead others through the complexities of HP's enterprise software architecture (all within a year of starting), Fernando was justifiably awarded the HP Worldwide Debut of the Year.
